ROTARYS`S Adventures in Health Care helps high school students answer that question through hands-on experiences, real-world learning, and meaningful connections with healthcare professionals.
The program is more than a career exploration program. It is the beginning of a journey.
Over several immersive days, in partnership with School District 57 - Prince George, students step beyond the classroom and into hospitals, simulation labs, colleges, universities, and community healthcare settings. They explore a wide range of professions, discover the skills required to succeed, and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to care for others.
For many students, the Adventures program sparks a new interest. For others, it confirms a dream they already had. Regardless of where they begin, every participant leaves with greater confidence, a broader understanding of healthcare, and a clearer vision of the opportunities ahead.
The journey doesn't end when Adventures in Health Care concludes.
Through the Alumni Learning Labs and the working document Journey Portfolio being rolled out this fall, students continue exploring careers, developing essential skills, and preparing for post-secondary education throughout the following school year. Each step brings them closer to making informed decisions about their future.
From curiosity to career, ROTARY`S Adventures in Health Care helps students discover possibilities, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward becoming the next generation of health care professionals.

What is ROTARY`S ADVENTURES IN HEALTH CARE?
Adventures in Health Care is a hands-on career exploration program that gives Grade 10&11 students an opportunity to experience a wide variety of healthcare professions before making post-secondary education decisions.
Who Can Apply?
Grade 11 students enrolled in participating school districts who have an interest in learning more about healthcare careers.
Program Length
A number of experiential learning days delivered through leading healthcare and post-secondary partners.
