THE WORLD OF FIRST RESPONDERS
Spend a day discovering three exciting careers at the front line of emergency response. Students in Prince George will rotate through interactive sessions featuring Paramedicine, Policing and Fire & Rescue, meeting the professionals, exploring their work, and taking part in hands-on activities.
PARAMEDICINE
Step into the world of paramedicine. During this interactive session, students will meet paramedics and explore the medical care they provide when responding to emergencies. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, discover the skills, equipment and decision-making involved in bringing critical care directly to patients.
R.C.M.P.
Step into the world of policing. During this interactive session, students will meet RCMP officers and explore the many roles involved in modern policing. Discover how officers work with their communities, investigate incidents, solve problems and respond to situations that require sound judgment and effective communication.
FIRE FIGHTERS
Step into the world of firefighting and rescue. During this interactive session, students will meet firefighters and explore a career that goes far beyond fighting fires. Through demonstrations and hands-on activities, discover the equipment, teamwork and skills involved in responding to fires, rescues, accidents and other emergencies.
