ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

A hands on workshop with models and dissection in the Health Sciences Anatomy Lab. This included dissecting rats, examining sheep brains and goat hearts. Not for the faint of heart...which includes this author. But upon investigation this article best explains the benefits of dissection. Other than to the animals, of course.

CHEMISTRY IN PHARMACOLOGY

Lab exploration in which you explore chemistry to assist the body which is the basis for Pharmacology.

Team competitions to manufacture a chemical susbstance with grading results posted at the conclusion of the session.

 The goal of cultural safety is for all people to feel respected and safe when they interact with the health care system. Culturally safe health care services are free of racism and discrimination. People are supported to draw strengths from their identity, culture and community.
