This years program went sideways quickly when the Pandemic hit in March. After cancelling the face to face event a "BETA "ONLINE program was developed and launched in August, 2020 for the pre-selected students who were to attend the face to face event in May.
The online program was subscribed by 80% of these students. Upon completion a certificate of participation indicating the hours involved was mailed to the participants which could be included in their Gradutation Portfolio.
THERE WILL BE NO FACE TO FACE PROGRAM IN 2021.
Gatherings of this program size are not currently permitted. This is a time of constraint and reducing our community contacts.
Given that it takes six months to plan, organize and develop each years program it has been decided to explore the concept of a "virtual" program, building on the 2020 BETA program. For more information email: email@example.com
We welcome you to take part in the UBC Learning Circle, an ongoing video conference and computer webinar initiative that encourages sharing knowledge about our health and well-being. The UBC Learning Circle is a partnership between the Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health and the First Nations Health Authority. Our intention is to provide educational and informational opportunities to health care workers and professionals in First Nations communities. The knowledge comes from your sharing of successful health practices and interventions, speakers, researchers and other experts.
The Virtual Healthcare Roadshow was created to share healthcare career snapshots, with a broader community, throughout the year. These snapshots try to capture one student’s perspective of their career journey to date. The videos are made by other healthcare students. The goal is to provide a taste of what’s interesting about each one of these diverse careers. For more information, follow the links provided, to the training institution’s websites.
